Timetable

BJJ & Submission Grappling

Structured classes focusing on gi and no-gi techniques, positional control, submissions, and rolling. Suitable for all levels.

BJJ – Kids

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tailored for younger students, with a focus on discipline, confidence, and body awareness.

BJJ – Open Mat

Unstructured mat time for drilling, rolling, or reviewing techniques at your own pace. All levels welcome.

Muay Thai

Traditional striking art using fists, elbows, knees, and shins. Classes include pad work, technique drills, and conditioning. Suitable for all levels.

Muay Thai – Kids (Ages 4–16)

Striking classes adapted for children, developing coordination, confidence, and discipline.

MMA – Mixed Martial Arts

A dynamic blend of striking and grappling techniques, combining elements of Muay Thai, wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Great for developing all-round combat skill and real-world application.

Our Women’s Only Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Fundamentals classes provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for women of all ages and experience levels to learn the foundations of BJJ. Whether you're completely new to martial arts or looking to build confidence, fitness, and self-defence skills, this class is designed to help you progress at your own pace.

The sessions focus on technique, movement, and real-world application—without the pressure of mixed-gender training. You’ll develop strength, coordination, and resilience, while becoming part of a strong community of like-minded women.

FREE FORTNIGHTLY Safety Restraint Training - SaturdayS 13:45 – 14:45

Base Defence Gym is proud to offer free fortnightly Safety Restraint Training exclusively for Police Officers, Security Personnel, and Prison Officers.

This practical, hands-on session is designed to equip frontline professionals with the tools to stay safe and in control during high-pressure encounters. Training includes:

  • Safe, effective control and restraint techniques

  • Situational awareness and legal use of force

  • Team-based tactics for high-risk interventions

  • Emotional control under pressure – learn how to manage your response during aggressive verbal abuse and hostile situations

  • De-escalation strategies and maintaining professionalism under stress

Taught by experienced instructor Zayd in a supportive environment, this training helps reduce risk, improve confidence, and build real-world readiness.
